As OASIS is a recognized international standards body, calling 
OpenDocument an "international standard" is entirely legitimate. Do 
please note that OpenDocument was *not* claimed to be an ISO standard, 
although that too may change.

It appears both WordPerfect and Lotus have plans to include OpenDocument 
support in the near future. Of the major office software suites, only 
Microsoft has explicitly rejected OpenDocument support, although it still 
may become available for MS-Office through a third-party filter.
