this list with the artists in alphabetical order so that I can find a
specific artist and know what number to go to in the turntable.

I assume you are using Calc. Try sorting: First select (highlight) the
full range (all rows and all columns that you want to keep together), then
go to the DATA pull down menu.
DATA > SORT > and select Col B (or whatever column has the artist by name in
it).
