Hi Andrew,
The anchor doesn't move wherever it likes... it moves to where you put it. If you move an object outside the paragraph that it was anchored to, you must be moving it into another paragraph. Remember, a paragraph is defined by hard carriage returns. You don't need printable characters to have a paragraph. How can the software know if you want a particular paragraph's influence to extend outside its boundaries? There probably is a way to do what you want. If you provide more details of what you're doing, someone may have an answer to your problem.

If not, what is the logic behind its moving around any way it likes??? What purpose does it serve??? It is most annoying. Once I attach the anchor to a paragraph, I want it to stay there even if I move the object around.

If somebody knows a way to fix the anchor (without attaching it to the page - that way, it won't move along with the page), please let me know.

Thanks,
Andrew
