I suspect that when you installed OOo you opted for it to be the default
application for PP files.
To fix it, and I'll assume you are using Windows XP,
Open "My Computer"
Click the TOOLS menu
Click Folder Options
Click the tab captioned "File Types"
Find the Powerpoint file type in the list and select it
The bottom of the dialog details how the file type is opened by default.
Click the CHANGE button to select a different application to open it with
Click Apply, click OK
That should do it
