Yes, I selected the Spanish line and clicked on Format > Asian Language
Support.. A window popped up with the Spanish words in the left side. I
typed the English in the right side and clicked on "left" and "bottom." In the
window at the bottom it showed the Spanish with the English below.
Everything seemed just fine. But when I clicked on Apply, nothing
happened. The dialog box stayed open and the text in the document did
not change. Nothing at all happened.

I did have to turn on Asian language support before the Asian Language
Support appeared under Format >. But so did Matej, and it worked for him.

The weird thing is that it happened both on my Windows 2000 desktop and
on my Linux Ubuntu laptop, exactly the same. Perhaps it saw my blond
hair and realized I could not be Asian. I probably should never have put that
scan of me on the hard disk. :(
