Carrie-- Your daughter can use OOo to do her work and, when she is finished, save it in a Microsoft-supported format. Provided that she does so, her teachers will be able to read the documents using Microsoft Office. Simply use the "Save As" feature and save in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint format.
