Dave, thanks for your reply. It worked.
However I came across another problem (which I did not find under the FAQ section).
When sending an "odt." file to my Email account I can open it. When forwarding this document to another user he/she cannot open it.
And why does spelling and grammer not work? For example, I did some corrections in my resume, used spelling and grammar but, for example, the system does not accept various company names and my email address (these items are "underlined").
Again, any help is appreciated.
Thanks....Angelika

Hi,
I am using a public computer which is running under MS Office 2000
with Excel, PowerPoint, Explorer. However, Word has not been
installed.
All my documents have been written in MS Word, e.g. my resume. I've
downloaded the doc but when I opened it it was shown with a 'frame'.
Is there a way to get rid of this frame?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks....Angelika
I am assuming you have opened your resume doc in OOo (OpenOffice.org).
Does the frame you see also show when you print the document? If not,
then the "frame" you describe is just a simple on screen guide for your
margin positions. This can be turned off by unchecking "Menu -> View ->
Text Boundaries".
Hope this helps

I have similar problem
I downloaded word employment application that can be filled in offline
on my computer. (not by hand)
The bottom of page 1 extends onto the top of page 2, etc, and the Agency
log0 is not reproduced. It prints out that way also.
It downloads correctly on identical computer running MS 98SE with Office
97 PRO.
Both computers use the most up to date Firefox browser.
