It would appear that at some time OOo (OpenOffice.org) version 1.1.0 has
been installed on your computer and has been used to create the .sxw
(Writer) documents you now seek to recover.
If it is a matter of urgency that you access these files and assuming
your previous OOo installation is still functional, try searching for
the file name "swriter.exe" or "soffice.exe" and double left mouse click
on the file name to try and start the program. If OOo runs OK, then you
will be able to open ("File -> Open...") your .sxw files.
However. version 1.1.0 is comparatively old and I would recommend you
obtain version 2.0.1, which has many enhancements and improvements. You
can download by going to http://openoffice.org and clicking on the big
green box. It is a very large file to download, so If you have a slow
dial-up connection you might want to obtain a copy on CD (for a small
fee) from a distributor listed here:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/
If you decide to install OOo 2.0.1, you do not have to remove 1.1.0
first. It's your choice.
You can find a wealth of information about OOo from the links here:

Hope this helps
