I second that about MS Win98 being less than ideal and secure - I voluntarily
helped manage a community organization's MS Win98 training and education
network, which was also connected to the Internet.

I sometimes think it might've been more useful for defeating the Internet
nasties, to have stripped off, painted myself in pig-grease, clay, ash and
ochre, and danced around a fire beating a kundu and chanting
"pudida-pudida-pudida, ouh-ouh!" as to rely on MS Win98 - a games machine's
OS if ever there was one, where the OS plays the deathmatch as well/badly as
the gamer - and the attendant anti-viral and anti-malware stuffing. I
would've had a lot more fun!

You ask, what is the most important thing?
Maku e ki, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
I reply, it is people, it is people, it is people.
