Using StarOffice 5.2, I found that Word documents often do not have proper anchors set for graphics, lines or groups and are mostly likely anchored to the page. This is still true today using OOo. So try this, in Word, set the anchors, groups or whatever properly and I think you will find that OOo honours these and imports the docs quite reasonably. -- PLEASE KEEP MESSAGES ON THE LIST.
