I haven't booted Windoze lately, but my printer dialog for my HP Deskjet contains a "Features" page which includes the option "Book" (for portrait) and "Tablet" for landscape double sided printing in software. (I have to shuffle the pages with the 180 turn as well.)

Hi!

I made a few simple spreadsheets with calc, all in the same file on different tabs, if you understand what I mean. I defined some print areas ("utskriftsområden" in Swedish, I don't know what you call them in English...) and I previewed the whole thing. I realized that my work would be printed on 6 pages and I realized that if I could print them in a different order, I could have 3 double sided papers printed. In this case I would like the page order to be 1,2,4,5,3,6. If I insert only three papers (A4) and when they all are printed I just turn them 180° and reinsert them in my printer, I will have page 1 and 6 on one paper, the next will be page 2 and 3 and the last one page 4 and 5.

So I selected the option to print only specified pages, and in the input field I typed 1-2,4,5,3,6. Then I clicked the Print button and my printer started to print. Now I realized that the actual order of the pages is 1-6. All of the 6 pages was printed but they were also sorted! Why?

Maybe this is a Windows 98 issue rather than an OOo issue, but I don't think so since the print dialog looks a lot different than it does when I print from other applications. Adobe reader has their own print dialog where you can select reverse print order and a lot more so I thought that this dialog was the OOo one and maybe I just could do the same thing by just typing the order I want, like in the example above. Of course I could solve my problem very easily by just print twice. First time pages 1,2 and 4, then turn the papers 180°, then print page 5 and after that print the pages 3 and 5.

But wouldn't it be nice if the thing I tried above was possible? Maybe I should file this as a wish for a future feature? Or maybe this already works in 2.0? I still use 1.1.5, due to speed issues (old PC of mine).
