Well, I'm running OOo2.0.1 on Linux and it works fine after downloading
the en-AU dictionary. If you want to tell me exactly what you're doing
from the point after you install OOo2 I'll try to reproduce it.
Don't direct me to the bug report though - it's too long and confused
now.
You're kidding, right? That's curious.
Whatever. I'll copy & paste my original bug report, and I won't include
the other comments underneath, which are unfortunately not related to
the bug anyway ( someone else hijacked my bug report ).
Note that this process if performed *after* a successful dictionary
installation, via the 'Install New Dictionaries' wizard.
I select Tools, Options, Language Settings, Writing Aids.
On the right of the config window ( next to 'OpenOffice.org MySpell
SpellChecker ), I click 'edit'
and try to select another *installed* dictionary from the combo box.
After I select a dictionary in the combo box ( which now *correctly*
*displays* the dictionary I just selected ), I click the
'close' button to close the 'Writing Aids' dialog.
Now, with the Options dialog still open, I click the 'edit' button again to
re-enter the 'Writing Aids' dialog ( ie where I just set the dictionary
in the previous step ), and the language has been reset to English
(USA).
