You are a candidate for using http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/
which offers methods and tools to make this happen. Other tools are
also available, such as the Dictionary Import/Export macro from
ooomacros.org which you can get via the
http://documentation.openoffice.org/thirdparty.html

I think lingucomponent also addresses this but do not know for sure.

Use the tools. I used the thesaurus set to create a Bowlderized
thesaurus for schools.

Try the lingucomponent approach and let us know if it worked. Also
please consider contributing your dic files to the project.
