I can see the value of having the page number and perhaps the other
info, but wouldn't it make more sense for the balloon to go away after
scrolling? This is more an annoyance than anything, but I wonder if

Maybe you have extended tool tips turned on ?
I have the tips on, but not the extended tool tips.
