These are files that are usually on websites such as my department's when they post a new position. I am told I can export the file to pdf. What does that mean?

Thank you for that. I have the latest Adobe reader version and I still cannot read the files.

What is the origin of those files? What are their file names - including the extenstion? If fact, do they have ".pdf" as the extension? Are you sure they are really PDF files? What technique are you using to read the files? Are there any error messages?
