Make sure you are root when you do this (super user). 
rpm -ivh *.rpm 
is the correct way to install OOo. This will install the rpm packages in 
the correct order. When this is complete, enter the desktop-integration 
folder and use this command:
rpm -ivh openoffice.org-redhat-menus-2.0.2-3.noarch.rpm.
This places entries for the OOo parts into your desktop menu.
