I used to use WP way back when, and occasionally I would use Reveal Codes. But that was only ever because something had gone wrong with on-the-fly formatting and I couldn't work out why a section that should be bold wasn't bold (for example). Usually there was some strange break or other inserted code that wasn't aware of that caused the problem. Reveal Codes revealed that thing that was invisible.
OO doesn't work this way. Occasionally I've found that on-the-fly formatting hasn't worked as I expected. But I've found that you just have to highlight the section you want bolded (for example), hit the bold button (or whatever) a couple of times and you're right. Sometimes there is a section of text that has one attribute in the middle of another section that has another attribute- just select the whole lot and tell it what you want., If it's really messed up, define a paragraph style the way you want it and apply the style. From my point of view, I don't need to see what's happening under the covers, I just want it to do the job, and OO does that, whether I use styles or fudge it as I go. -- God bless you, Keith Bates 4 Mooloobar St Narrabri NSW 2390 Phone: 02 67924890 Fax: 02 67925418 www.new-life.org.au If you don't have a reason to live JESUS IS THE ANSWER!
