I'm creating labels from a OOo calc database. Going reasonably well, except:

(1) Is there any way to insert a postal bar code into the label, based on the zip code of the address? Not even mentioned in Help.

Yes there is - you need to install a PostNet font set. See an earlier
posting of mine a month or so ago:

I'm doing similar (barcodes) in Base forms and it work well - except the
PDF export feature doesn't recognise the fonts although printing works
fine.
Thanks for this info. I've formerly used WordPerfect and am just learning OOo, but this difference makes me wonder why OOo Writer doesn't already come with this feature. WordPerfect has the bar code (including the postal bar code for zip codes) built into the menu system. It sure makes it a lot easier that way.

(2) Where in the heck is the Table Data Bar? The Help system discusses it, shows the icon I'm looking for "Date to Fields" so I can populate the fields in the labels with the data (which I've selected) but doesn't explain how to display the Table Data Bar. There's no mention of that bar in View/Toolbars or View/Toolbars/Table.

If you open the Data Sources pane in Writer (use the icon in the
"Standard" tool bar just under the menu bar) then the Table Data tool
bar is just above that pane.

I must have something turned off (but I can't find how to enable it), but when I press [F4] or click on the icon to open the Data Sources pane, no additional tool bar shows above the pane. The only bar that is above the Data Sources pane is the one that contains the pointer, design mode, etc, icons, that was there before opening the Data Sources pane. I've looked at every toolbar under View/Toolbars and can't find it! I'm using OOo Writer, version 2.02 (or whatever the newest, non-beta, version is.
