Hello Sigrid,

Do you have keys with the needed symbols (accents)? If yes, try to press
the key with the accent first and then the other letter, for example `
and then a to get à. 
  
This would be my solution, but it does not seem to activate (yesterday 
it did but I do not know how I did it). It does not work automatically.
