I assume you're talking about the drag and drop method of moving a cell.
If so, this is how to do it:
1. Select the cell you want to move.
2. Drag to select at least one additional cell.
3. Without releasing the mouse button, drag back so that only the
original cell is selected.
Now you can drag and drop, by clicking anywhere in the cell.
