Could you try browsing to the executable file (vs. your shortcut (=icon
you probably have been using)) and then double clicking that?
It is probably in Program Files/OpenOffice.org2.0/programs, then swriter
or soffice. What happens then?
Do you have quick starter enabled (seagulls in your taskbar)? What
happens if you turn it off and then try to start the program?
Do you have a menu item (Start->Programs->OpenOffice.org2.0) that works?
What about if you double click an openoffice file. Does that open up the
program?
Please try a bunch of different ways to see what happens. I'm hoping you
can get it going or get an error message which can help us find out why
it isn't working.
Have you rebooted your computer recently? If not, please do and test again.
Have you updated anything else on your computer lately (virus scanner,
firewall, windows update, etc.)?
Please reply to the list so any of the volunteers can help.

We will need more information than this.
Why do you say it has stopped working (ie. what did you normally do that
no longer works?).
Do you get any error messages?
You say it has disappeared. Do you mean it is no longer in your menu to
run the program?
What Operating System and version do you have?
