I was using OpenOffice.Writer to prepare the
enclosed document Doub Generations3.doc saved in Word 97 format. I was using
styles to help with the formatting of such a large document. I set tabs as
follows:
1.19" Left Tab
3.30" Left Tab
4.08" Left Tab
4.75" Left Tab
7.75" Decimal
Tab
I completed formatting the c\document and printed
it with no problem. When I saved the document however, Writer added 2 Tabs as
follows:
3.00" Center Tab
6.00" Right Tab
I just downloaded the current version of OpenOffice
and it does the same thing. All I did to Doub Generations3.doc (created by Word
97) was open the document and then save it as Doub Generations4.doc. This is not
your run of the mill glitch. It may take some doing to find it. Good
