Well have downloaded the latest version for MAC and they say it works
with Intel MAC but when I install the program and open it all it does
is load to the DOCK and never opens. So I guess my question is when
will there be a version that works with the Intel MACs.

I do not understand the question. I ask because clicking on the Green
button on http://www.openoffice.org/ then the "Download
OpenOffice.org"
link allows you to enter your language, OS and select the MacOS
page for
downloads et cetera. On the Mac page I see download options of which
MacIntel is one. So please explain.
