Not sure about the cost ether.
Wanted to let you know,Write-N-Cite does not appear to run on your
computer per se.
It uses a web interface for looking up and copying to the document,
then generates an output file that is downloaded to your computer as a
file. This is attached to the end of your document and becomes your
bibliography.
It is an interesting "universal" method.
This is an assessment of what I saw on the site, not what I have tried.
Good luck,
Paul

Hi,
I looked before and Linux (64bit)) didn't seem supported. Anyway I have
requested a trial. The cost is ambiguous. Is it $100/year?
Thanks.

Hello
I had some interest in this capability so I watched the
"Using One Line/Cite view (7:37 min).
At the end it says that if you use linux or netscape, see the following.
http://refworks.scholarsportal.info/tutorial/
Using Write-N-Cite (5:53 min.)
They claim that this is universal and that "you can use ANY word
processing software" in the second slide.
The next statement is from their "Compatibility" page
"You can also use any word processor including Ami-Pro, FrameMaker,
OpenOffice, StarOffice, Word Perfect or any other program which allows
you to save your files as RTF."
Then open and save in OOo Write.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have a profound dislike of windows, so I use Linux. Unfortunately
this soft. is for windos.
Many thanks.

Hi, again!
finally I found a way to use Refworks and automatic formatting of references
with any word processing software other than Microsoft Office. Go to

Hi!
I have the same problem. I use Refworks for Medline citations
http://refworks.scholarsportal.info/Refworks/login.asp?WNCLang=false
and I would like to use Write-N-Cite with Open Office writer. Unfortunately,
Write-N-Cite says I should run Microsoft Word... What can I do?

Hi,
I have googled around and I cannot find the precise info I need.
I am using oo 2.0 on Gentoo Linux. Is it possible and how do I either
import a ref directly from a db eg Medline or convert a referance
manager/endnote citation to input into the oo prog.?
Thanks.
Gavin.
I do not believe bulk importing of these is possible at the moment.
However you might get some help from
http://bibliographic.openoffice.org/ project and in its mailing lists.
