I think the problem is that the file is named xxxx.dbf and not xxxx.mdb. Could you please provide concise instructions to the Original Poster on this thread on how to rename files so that OpenOffice.org can use them. I would like the name of the Child WorkSpace so that I can look at the efforts and possibly help. Thank you.
