Hi Andreas;

I want to thank you and Roderick and all the others who have helped me
over the last week with my little club project. Obviously I was using
this project to teach myself how to use Calc and all your explanations
moved me along the learning curve far more than just helping produce a
club data/spreadsheet.

I must say I have gone back to Windows and Excel to complete this
project. But I will consciously go by way of built-in functions so that
I can make the Windows and Linux versions as interchangeable as
possible.

I would like to add. I came to the Linux environment two and half years
ago almost by accident, not as some kind of partisan choice. I set up a
dual boot and started with a 80% - 20% split of my time in Windows
versus Linux. That split has naturally grown to 10% - 90% in favour of
Linux over the last two and half years.

Having spent an afternoon back working in Excel, -- how I miss my Linux
and there was so much I liked about Calc. That is why I spent so much
time trying to meld the two. I wanted to use my operating system for
most things and while my friends could use theirs.

I really hope the designers and engineers (volunteers I know) can find a
way to make the Office Suites fully interchangeable and Linux OOo the
better of the two.

Thanks All

Regards Bill
