I would like to convey the thought that these devices such as toolbars
appearing unbidden and "autoinput" are more annoying and troublesome
than they are ever helpful. Once you tell one of these wretched things
to go away, it should stay gone.

Problem number two, I have a toolbar (for working with Graphics) which

I will bet that everytime you select a graphic a toolbar shows up.
However, it should disappear when you deselect the object. If this is
not happening, then we need to know which release of OOo you use and
your OS so volunteers with similar setups can help.
