This problem is perhaps related to mine. My letter has not yet appeared on the website, but I need help as I cannot print from Open Office. I have t export the text document to PDF, and print from there. It is a mystery to me that Open Office can't print, my printer works with everything else. It is an HP 720 C.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks, Raymond Rice (Vienna, Austria)

Recently I selected a Web site option to download a small PDF file "for
easy printing", and Acrobat provided the means of looking at it.

But Acrobat's Print option didn't do anything, so I gave the PDF file
to OpenOffice Writer (2.0.3), assuming that as it could output PDF
files, it could print them - but it wouldn't.

So, how is one supposed to print PDF files?

I'm confused by your statement that you "gave the PDF file to OO Writer", because OOo cannot open PDF files. Maybe you need to explain in more detail what you did.

On the surface, it sounds like some issue related to this specific PDF file, if Acrobat can't print it, and nothing that has anything to do with OpenOffice.org.
