Have you looked at the Open Clipart package
(http://www.openclipart.org/)? It contains thousands of scalable (SVG)
images from which you could easily populate your own gallery. I've found
that using Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/) to export in .png format
is a painless methodology.
