Two points: Using Format > Paragraph only allows a person to change the Default paragraph style. It does not allow a person to modify other paragraph styles not to add additional custom paragraph styles. As you know, using F11 to open the Styles and Formating window is a much better way to work with styles.
I listed the URL of the web page containing the chapter I mentioned. This way the person gets to see that there are other chapters available that he or she could also use. Giving the full URL to the particular document does not allow him or her to do so. Instead only the one file is downloaded. The Writer Guide also has a chapter on styles that the OP might be able to use later. With my link, he could access this web page again and download the more advanced chapter on styles. Only having the complete link to a particular file listed on this web page, how does one access the web page itself without understanding how URL's work? Can we assume that even most people understand URL's?
