I take it that you have only recently installed the software and had no previous versions.

For all I know, it's possible that your download was faulty. If you still have the file which you downloaded, you can check it with the procedure mentioned here: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.3/md5sums.html

If it does not pass that test, you will need to download the file again, possibly using a different downloader. Several are listed here: http://download.openoffice.org/ I can recommend using Bittorrent: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/

If the download passes the test, the fault could be in the "user" folder containing your personal OpenOffice settings. I understand that on Windows, the path to that folder is likely to be something like: c:\documents and settings\username\Application Data\ OpenOffice.org2\user

It's working ok on my system - 2.0.2 on a Linux box.

How long have you had the software installed? Was it working previously?

You may have to run Add Programs again with the Repair feature enabled.

Unless it's a bug. ?¿

What do you mean by "change the paragraph style"? <snip>

Sorry, I don't know all the ins and outs of the software, and thought the meaning was clear.
I use the menu - Format>Parargraph...
And that's as far as I get.
