Well, not by default. But you can add a calendar to Thunderbird.

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/

"Lightning is a calendar extension for Mozilla Thunderbird. It offers
calendaring features directly in the Thunderbird User Interface. Further
integration features, such as e-mail invites or addressbook integration
are planned for future releases."

Hello,

I have some troubles in Lightning dealing with .ics files. The emails
are meeting reminders from my company's exchange server and in
Thunderbird with Lightning, they are blank without contents but only a
.ics attachment. Thunderbird sometimes freezes when opening this kind
of emails. If I disable Lightning, those emails can be viewed without
problem. I've tried to import the attached .ics file into Lightning or
Sunbird directly, but only got an error popup.

I hope some experts have the solution in dealing with this problem.

Thanks in advance.
