Hi. I understand that Lightning is still a work in progress. The page

states "True email/calendar integration is planned, but that is not part
of this release."
If the ics file is an attachment, you can open it with a text editor.
Do you not have a calendar programme which is compatible with the
programme issuing the ics files?
