OOo can save in MSO 2003 XML format no problem.  It's listed,  just right down 
the bottom.   The .doc format in 03 is the same as 2000/XP 

In fact OOo is more compatible, because MSOffice '95 can read doc files 
created in OOo.... which is, in fact, the reason I changed to StarOffice 5 
all those years ago!  :)
