does openoffice cache content? on my desktop, it is the default program for opening *.doc files. i have my resume up on the web for possible employers to peruse. i just updated it, uploaded a new copy to the target on my webserver, and spent half an hour trying, retrying, smacking my head, and banging on the keyboard, trying to figure out how pscp told me it uploaded succesfully, how the timestamp on the file on the server was updated to today, and yet... when i download the file via my web browser, it pops up in OpenOffice as the older version.
so after half an hour of this nonsense, i download the file to my desktop. open it with wordpad. and lo and behold, it's the newer version that i knew was there... what gives? is open office caching web content? is the cached version overriding the fresh version that firefox just downloaded? is this behahvior at all concommitent with what a user might want/expect/be accustomed to? am i just not understanding what's going on here? /greg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
