I have a macbook and am using 10.4.8 operating system. (Macosx)
I have downloaded openoffice.2.0 but can't open it without apple x11.
I can't find out how to get this - a message tells me that I can use
my installation disk but I have only found something in user tools
that mentions x11 and I ran this without effect. I have been to the
apple website and phoned the help line, they know nothing about
openoffice. Please help - I'm going nuts!! I don't think I should
have to pay $600 for microsoft office just to read a few documents.
