Lighten up. If someone has a problem and they write in one of those
"nasty" foreign languages, and if someone on the list is able to use
that language and give them an answer, great.
Telling people "this is an English-only list" sounds at least a little
exclusionary , perhaps even elitist. Personally, I would only answer
"there is a German/Swedish/Italian/Swahili :-) list where people may be
able to help you in your own language," and leave it at that.
My personal regret is that my German is so poor as to be unable to give
anyone a proper grammatical answer to anything.
