ouch. unless somebody knows what's wrong, you could check some things.
1. is oo.org or some part of user home directory on nfs or any other
remote location ?
2. if you move/rename your user configuration for oo.org, can you
reproduce the long wait ?
My Solaris box have "Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition
(build 1.5.0_01-b08)" installed on /usr/java (standard place)...
Did someone else have a Solaris installation of OpenOffice working good???
