We are looking into the idea of including or pre-installing some of our

Is there any restriction regarding sell PCs with open office? Do we need
to register or pay for that?

NO, you don't. But, you can't charge for the software either. As long as you include it FREE, and only charge for the 'puter, other hardware, preloading, setup, and service, you're fine.

Fred: I'm not sure where you got it that you can't charge for OOo software. I'm quite sure that anyone can sell it, for whatever price the market will bear. Which probably won't be that much since it is obtainable for free, but it's certainly something more than zero, since there would definitely be a convenience to having OOo already on a computer when one buys it. Especially for someone on dial-up, or someone who isn't terribly computer literate and might have trouble even with a simple installation.
