The same problems affect text boxes in Writer, and I encountered a
couple more major glitches which I really don't have much enthusiasm to
write up. I think it's safe to say that tabbed text in text boxes is not
well supported and not a high priority for developer effort. If I were
you, I'd be making plans to transition to Writer, unless there's
something really special you need Draw for.
