Look at the System Tray for a grey icon with two flying birds on it. Right click on the icon and select Exit Quickstarter. Also ensure you don't have any documents/spreadsheets/etc open. Then try Add/Remove again. Are there two versions in Add/Remove? Which one are you trying to remove when "nothing happens"? When you say "nothing happens" do you *really* mean nothing? No change to the cursor shape? No lights flashing on your hard disk? No messages? Have you looked in your log files: Start>All Programs>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer ?
