Hello Ping

‧ I have the impression that you 'hijacked' this thread which was about
document recovery. In the future please start a new thread instead of
replying to another one
‧ this is a users list where volunteers try and help other people using OOo.
I hope other users may be of more use to you (pun intended)

‧ OOo supports several blends of Chinese: traditional, simplified, HongKong,
Singapore and Macau.
‧ You can choose language settings at Tools > Options > Language Settings
(open at the + sign) > Languages. There you can choose a user interface (if
you have the chinese language pack I suppose you can have Chinese as
interface language) / a Locale setting (5 types of Chinese available) /
Default language for document > Asian > again the 5 Chinese flavours / also
activate the Enhanced support for Asian languages.
Under the same Language Settings, you also have some choices to make under
Asian Layout.
See also under > OOo Writer > Basic fonts Asian.

‧ You can always find support inside the OOo program when you click on the
Help buttons that are in all dilog boxes, on the main menu or the F1 key.
‧ There's a special division of OOo on the web for all things Chinese:
http://zh.openoffice.org/index.html
‧ You can find dictionaries for Chinese at this website, or install them
directly with the DictOOo macro (that is the Wizard for installing new
dictionaries under File > Wizards > Instal new dict)

good luck
