Hello out there,
I've come across a very disturbing behaviour of the OOWriter component: There
is no way to alter the standard behaviour that OpenOffice.org 2.0 has when
setting the bullets style and other formats of a list.
I simply want to create a list out of standard text by clicking on the
"Bullets on/off" icon in the formats row (not by selecting something from the
stylist - I know that this is possible, but the problem is getting M$ Office
users to do that).
Clicking on the "Bullets on/off" icon creates a very big dot at the beginning
of the line - but I don't like the big dot (I prefer smaller ones like in other
Office Suites), so I have to go into a dialogue to alter it EVERY TIME I'M
CREATING A LIST. It would be better if the user could choose what style to use
for his "default" style in the stylist, but this doesn't work:
The problem is that if you modify a style and choose a "Numbering style" in
your style's properties, the whole style changes into a list. And here we have
the bug. Simply try this method - in my opinion it should assign a certain
Numbering/List style to the paragraph style which is being modified, but thats
not the case. We get some sort of random behaviour instead.
I've quite some problems in describing the bug efficiently and no experience in
reporting bugs, but this affects a great number (50+) users I know, so it is
important to me, that this bug is solved. Can anybody help me with this issue?
You can ask for further information on the subject at any time and I'll try to
provide it.
Hope to hear from you soon
