I'm affraid that we've gone past that one. We are at a stage where OpenOffice 
is getting attention from other users that don't want to pay MSFT for their 
daily soho-office duties. These people expect OO to behave like any 'normal' 
application that they are used to. Therefore it should be clearly communicated 
what people need to do to get OO started. On a Mac this means installing X11 
from the disk that came with their Mac and open a Writer window before they can 
access the other components. 

Now that users do not necessarily stick to one OS and one computer it would be 
a good thing to take a look at the differences between the versions for 
windows, linux, mac, etc. Make them behave as similar as possible.
