Joe- Your daughter can easily save her OpenOffice files as Word files by selecting "Microsoft Word" format from the menu on the save window. Bear in mind that even though they can now be read with Microsoft Word, they might have a few formatting issues if the documents are format intensive (i.e. a lot of tables, text boxes, weird margins, bullets, etc.).
Your daughter can also export her documents as .pdf files by choosing "Export As PDF" from the File menu. There will be much fewer format problems in .pdf format. (though you will need Adope Acrobat Reader to open them, which is free software) Another solution is to download OpenOffice yourself (or order a CD from somewhere if you don't have a fast enough internet connection). It's free to download, but I'm not sure what the prices are for CDs. I'm sure there is some information on that on the OpenOffice.org website. --Benton ----- Original Message ---- From: Joe Jacobs <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Cc: sheera jacobs <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 12:38:25 AM Subject: [users] To convert .odt files to Word files ?
