I have been unable to download OpenOffice.org on successive

about 75 - 85 percent of the way through the download when
my ISP invariably decides to kick me off, and then I lose
everything. There is no returning to my place in the file

The task has become Sisyphean.

This is unacceptable. Please advise.

There's an option to use BitTorrent or other methods. That way,
interrupted downloads can be resumed. These methods are available a
bit further down the download page, under P2P downloads.
1. Forwarding to unsubscribed OP.

2. On the page with the big green "Download" button (http://download.openoffice.org/2.1.0/index.html) is another link that lets you order the software on CD. Click the link and then choose a supplier you like the sound of. Most suppliers only make a nominal charge for the CD and add a small amount for delivery.

3. Look in the magazine stores. Several computer magazines come with CDs or DVDs that include OpenOffice.

4. Time to get broadband ;-)
