Whenever I upgrade to the latest version of OOo I install the Australian
Dictionary. In the interests of doing this quickly, and because I have
added many words to my Australian Dictionary over the years and do not want
to start off with a fresh copy, this is the way I do it (in Windows XP) ...
Once the new version of OOo is installed, I copy my existing dictionary list
file and the three *.au files into the ... /share/dict/ooo folder, answering
"yes" when it asks if I want to over-write the dictionary.lst file.
I then fire up OOo and go into Tools/Options/Language settings, to set my
spell checker and locale to "Australian"
MY QUESTION
Is this the best way to do it?
I am always concerned that one day a new version of dictionary.lst, or other
files in the ooo folder, will change and I will be copying old files over
new formats.
A little worry only, but I would appreciate your comments.
Many thanks, James
