[users] Installing Open Office 2.1

I tried to install Open Office 2.1 on my Windows XP Home machine and I had Open 
Office 2.0 installed on it. when it was doing the Uninstall process I keep 
getting the error message "Error 1714. The older version of Openoffice.org 2.1 
cannot be removed" and it stops and I cannot install the software. Can anyone 
help me. Thanks....................
