Hi John

Having always used a "non-standard" default document in order to keep
language settings, I haven't had this problem with upgrades, as I always
copy over the templates if they are not picked up automatically.

Secret is to set up a document as you want, File-Template-Save, say as
"default". _Then_  File-Template-Organize and set that template as your
default.
