Just one of the many logic traps of OO.

I would argue that by deleting the paragraph mark (which sits at the end
of a paragraph, not the begining!) in an empty paragraph, this should not
happen, as I just deleted the paragraph information. Just like with a
character delete where my cursor is at the next character I would expect
my formatting to be at the next paragraph.

I can adjust to it in my writing, but expecting people to consider this as
logically right is way off on the usability scale.
